Google has officially revealed its interactive video-discovery tool ‘YouTube Slam’ that arbitrarily spits out two videos at a time for one-on-one battles. In this public voting is enabled which determines the winner out of the two videos.
YouTube Slam has been designed to allow users to stumble upon the content they might not otherwise see while surfing the you tube site.
Google illustrates YouTube Slam as a “place for exploring talented amateur singers, the most likable video clips and the craziest videos on YouTube.” Users can play and compare videos with You tube Slam in four categories: cute dance, bizarre, music and comedy.
So what is in it for you? When voting in a battle between two videos, you can earn points for voting the video that is popular between the two, so you can “see how you stood up against other players at the end of each week.”
